Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative from your tour operator who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day will be at leisure, allowing you to recover from your flight or explore the city.
Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and head to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to a variety of wildlife including white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species. You’ll have an afternoon game drive before settling in at your lodge for the night.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru and head to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations and home to the famous wildebeest migration. You’ll arrive in time for lunch before an afternoon game drive. Spend the next two nights in the Masai Mara.
Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend the whole day exploring the Masai Mara on game drives. You’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals.
Day 5: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll cross the border into Tanzania and enter the Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, where you’ll spend the next two nights.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Spend the day on game drives in the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. You’ll have the opportunity to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and many other animals.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, leave the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest calderas in the world. Spend the afternoon exploring the crater before retiring to your lodge for the night.
Day 8: Tarangire National Park to Arusha and Departure
After breakfast, leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees.
You’ll have an afternoon game drive before returning to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore the city or do some last-minute shopping before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
