On the 5th of Jan 2016, the SkyVet Team headed to a wildlife conservancy in Masai Mara in Kenya to attend to a baby elephant who had a snare around her left hind leg and the mother who had a spear wound injury on her back.
After tranquilizing both elephants, the vets were able to treat both of their wounds. While it is unclear how these elephants ended up with injuries, going off of statistics, it is likely that poaching is to blame.
