I’ve heard that lone buffaloes in the African wild are some of the deadliest creatures in Africa and this video seems to validate this claim.

The reason early trophy hunters included the African buffalo, as one of the big five is that they were considered to be one of the most dangerous species to hunt.

When hunted by humans, buffalo have a reputation for circling back on their pursuers and counter attacking. The danger lies with older males who usually live away from the herd. Their “attack is the best defense” strategy can make them very dangerous.

Old buffalo males tend to wander solitary or to form small groups of up to about half a dozen and are probably more easily provoked into an attack. The reason for this relates to the fact that they lack the safety in numbers of the bigger herds. Buffalo in herds are placid, although some of the old bulls in the herds tend to be easily angered and prone to charge when disturbed.

Large herds are usually very relaxed and unlikely to attack.

On the 5th of Jan 2016, the SkyVet Team headed to a wildlife conservancy in Masai Mara in Kenya to attend to a baby elephant who had a snare around her left hind leg and the mother who had a spear wound injury on her back.

After tranquilizing both elephants, the vets were able to treat both of their wounds. While it is unclear how these elephants ended up with injuries, going off of statistics, it is likely that poaching is to blame.

Carl Bovard knows that he is dicing with death every time he wrestles with his huge felines but considers it a risk worth taking to raise awareness about endangered species. Carl set up Single Vision – his educational, non-profit company – nine years ago and welcomes tours to his house and garden where his wild animals live with him.

His biggest tiger is a Siberian named Samson – he weighs more than 700lbs and is over nine and a half feet tall when he stands on his back legs. Before they go out into the massive enclosure in Carl’s back garden all of his animals live in his modest Florida home.

Despite the controversy that comes with keeping and breeding big cats in captivity Carl believes that his organisation is helping tigers and lions.

I’ve never thought wild cats would make good pets coz they have a wild instinct in them. This video proves it..

One of the most famous safari video ever captured by an amateur. This was taken in the Kruger National park in South Africa.

The pride of lions chase a bufallo herd and catch a young one of the young ones in the river. The lions work together to bring it out of the river but in the process 2 crocodiles joins the party and grabs hold of the young bufallo trying to drown the helpless animal which is now caught between two species of predators.

The lions manage to pull the bufallo out of the water and this is where it gets more interesting..The other herd of bufalloes come rushing back to save the young one…

I came across this hilarious video on Youtube.com. Basically what happened is a group of guys led by French photographer Xavier Hubert Brierre and his wife went to Gabon in the jungle and set up mirrors in several locations capture the reactions of animals that happened to walk by.

Using hidden cameras, we are able to see the reactions of different animals as they saw themselves. Their reactions are hilarious.

The gorilla was aggressive.
The chimp was confused
The elephant was nonchalant
The leopard seemed to like himself too much…

The wildebeest migration in Kenya is one of the attractions that one must see in their safari to Masai Mara. The migration begins between the months of January and March in Tanzania where the wildebeest are able to bear more than half a million calves in number and they graze on the grass of the Ngorongoro and Serengeti conservation areas as they move into Kenya in June/July.
